Something Strange Blooming

It hasn't been atypically warm this Fall. Lows in the mid-30s, highs in the mid-40s, windy and cloudy, not particularly wet. So why this?

    foxgloves! Mine are blooming too....didn't first bloom until the beginning of October. They're a biennial and this was their first year in the garden. shrug
